Winter indoor archery club at Swarland Village Hall

Indoor Archery – Bowmen of Rothbury Forest

In the winter season, the Bowmen of Rothbury Forest Archery Club meets in Swarland Village Hall on a Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm, typically from the last week in October until the last week in April.

Bowmen of Rothbury Forest is a small target archery club, shooting predominantly recurve bows, although we are happy to accommodate other bow types. Summer sessions take place next to the Gate pub at Forestburn Gate, just down the road from the entrance to Simonside, where we are able to shoot over distances up to 90 m.

The Club is affiliated to the national archery association, Archery GB, and has two Level 1 recurve coaches. We often run 6 week beginners course during the winter season in the Hall – we provide equipment for  the course.

If you would like to join a course please contact us by email or phone. Experienced archers are always welcome to the Club and may shoot either as a member or as a guest if Archery GB members (subject to butt fees).
